If you’ve attended Re-Catechism in Calgary, AB, here is a list of resources mentioned/used/suggested throughout the years:
Step 1: The Orthodox Study Bible. Many people (who can’t even read the LXX or the GNT) complain about this translation and the notes, but it is good, and until you’ve actually read every word in its 1852ish pages, it is perhaps best to remain silent. Read your Bible, and please do it daily. If you are Greek Orthodox and live in Canada, please read it in the original Koine Greek and in the English OSB daily. If you are reading theology and Patristics but slacking on the Bible, you’re doing it wrong.
Everything else is “choose your own adventure” (as one scrambler once said to a hiker), so have at it, but the Bible is paramount.
